Squares on Saturday from Valerie (UK) and Vers Cythere (France).

Valerie very kindly sent me these Squares from Kent. They arrived today! Sitting here with the 'Sunshine Blankets'. Thank you!, originally uploaded by MRS TWINS.

I'm very pleased to say Valeries' Squares arrived today. Valerie lives in Kent in the UK. She has tried the Flower Square that Luna put up. She tells me the Square is called 'Framed Flower' (page 23) from a book by Melody Griffiths called '201 Crochet motifs blocks, projects and ideas'. If you look on Amazon there are loads of reviews about it. They are all good reviews  too says Valerie. It's got unusual Squares in there, a lamb, tiger, sheep, fish, trees, lacey motifs.  Really lovely things and ideas. It is in English terminology and it also has charts. Sounds really good. Valerie said the book is cheaper to buy on The Book Depositry site for £8.00 with free p + p which sounds really good value.

The other Square she used is a circle from 99 Flower Motifs Leisure Arts and has added a Granny pattern and a little flower.

Valerie came back to me with this information and I'm sure it will be useful to a lot of readers.

Valerie often crochets for 'Knit-A-Square' charity. This is a wonderful charity for Aids orphans in South Africa. I'm very pleased she has taken some time out to make us some Squares for the 'SIBOL' Project.

I also received some Squares from France this morning a Lady called Vers Cythere. I was very pleased because she gave 'SIBOL'  a great write up on her blog. I hope you will visit her. She sent some really colourful Squares for our 'sun' themed Blanket.  She's asking her Friends if they would like to take part.
