A lot of SIBOL work today! Squares from the Netherlands and Uk!

Good morning Everyone!

~Wow!! A busy morning today here.  I've had lots of Squares arrive together today. Isn't it funny, none for a few days and then suddenly four parcels!

First of all I hopefully will have lots more time to take photos next week of three Blankets which I have finished. One of my 'Little Miss Twins' has been on holiday for two weeks as I have said before and we've been out and about, so not too much time to chat lately. So I suppose it's good they have arrived today! We've had such  a lovely time going here and there. .....

Well what's new on the SIBOL front?  Today I have had lots of Squares arrive. I would like to show you them.

First of all I would like to show you Squares from mandas' challenges.  Various challenges are going on at the moment. If you click on the link you will see what they are. I'm really pleased to show you Squares which have been sent in by Amanda. They are such fun!

Amanda has taken part in our 'Grow me a Garden', 'Tropical', 'Water melon', 'Cupcake', 'Olympics' and she's also been playing with Debi's Square! Well done Amanda, your Squares are fantastic. Let's have a look now.

Such pretty 'Cupcake' Squares.

Aren't these Cupcake Squares pretty!  I have  made you a Slide Show, sit back and enjoy now after your hard work. Thank you so much for taking part! What fun!

Next we have Richtje (Netherlands). Richtje thank you for the gorgeous Squares. I love them all.
It's so nice of you to make the Squares and I would like to show you the 'Two Tone Blue' ones first.

Yes they are for the 'Two Tone Blue' Challenge. Thanks so much Richtje!

So pretty for our Two Tone Blue Challenge. Let's have a look at the other ones now in your very own Slide Show! Thank you so much!

I would also like to thank Laura for the donation of Green yarn she had spare. She recently made her Mother a beautiful Green jacket with this yarn. She had some spare and thought of SIBOL, that was so kind, thank you!

What fun! I couldn't resist. You see they are not ordinary balls of yarn! What fun I have with this web site!

Now the last Squares have come in from the UK.  Jean Nock has sent in many Squares over the months for SIBOL, and I am always most grateful. These are  Black and White Squares and they are made beautifully! Now just take a look!

Such pretty Black and White Squares!

Let's see which Slide Show I have chosen  for Jean Nock!

I hope you enjoyed the Slide Show 'Jean Nock!'.  It was a pleasure to make it for you.

Phew! That was a lot of Squares.  Next week as soon as I have got myself up to date with my housework, I will be taking photos of the new Blankets. Thank you for being patient!

Our 'Tropical' theme ends tomorrow. Don't worry if they are a little late arriving! They will be okay. There are still Challenges running if you want to take part.

May I say thank you tol the Ladies I have been chatting to over the last few days. It's always nice to talk 'SIBOL'  with you. From time to time I like to discuss things with you. Just puts my mind at rest you are enjoying SIBOL, and that everything is running as it should be.  Thank you.

Well Mr. Twins is out with the mower, I've been on here all morning so now I must go and tidy my flower beds up. I then have a wacky scarf to finish for a friend of Little Miss Twins and then it's on to another Blanket. All go here at SIBOL HQ! :)

Have a good weekend everyone!

Squares from the USA!

Good Afternoon Everyonee!

I must apologise for being fairly quiet here on SIBOL.  Little Miss Twins (1) is at home this week and we also have visitors, so my time is limited.  I do have new Blankets to show you but I haven't got the time to load them so please bear with me. I am just popping in  to show you what's new arriving and to keep up to date with the Squares on Flickr and on here.

I must thank Debi Y (USA) for the beautiful 'Winter Wonderland' Squares. What a good idea, sewing some buttons on to a Square! Also many thanks for the yarn Debi. I'll show you the Squares now. They are such pretty patterns and they have been crocheted with Red Heart Sparkling yarn which is now discontinued. I love all the information Debi! Many thanks.

Debi Y (USA) Your Squares have arrived! Thank you!

Watermelon Squares from Louisiana! (USA)

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Woo hoo!!! It's one of those exciting days..........

A knock came to my front door this morning. A man standing there with one of those funny little machines in his hand.  Could I have your first  initial please?  Could I have your surname please? Would you sign this please? Yes of course. Thank you Bye......

As I went back in to the house. I saw that it had come from wiLDaBoUtCoLoR over in Louisiana (USA). Now if you haven't heard of wiLDaBoUtCoLoR I suggest you pop over to her blog because this is a Lady who has gone terribly 'Watermelon Crazy!' over the last few months.  She has made everything from Pot Holders, Coasters, Pillows and lots more all in the Watermelon theme. Her work is amazing! Then the other day she suggested a new Challenge for SIBOL.  Yes a 'Watermelon Challenge'.  Now if you would like to take part details are over on our SIBOL CHALLENGE web-site.  But if you'd like some more inspiration please pop over to her blog and also have a look at these amazing Squares I have received in the post today.

Not only did I receive beautiful Squares and indeed yarn to make them up. I also received a gift for me! I know how amazing is that! A pair of Piggy Slippers, beautifully crocheted in pink. Aren't these just gorgeous!

OOh I can't wait to get outside!!!!! Piggies do you want to come!

What a kind lady, thank you Ellen. I was instructed to take a photo of me modelling them too, so if you look through the Slide Show you might just see me wearing them!

Oh how excited I have been this morning to receive these gorgeous Squares for SIBOL. wiLDaBoUtCoLoR has made them beautifully all so different.  It's going to be a Challenge for me now to put them altogether. The yarn Red Heart is so lovely too.  I just can't wait to show you the photographs I have taken this morning.

Created with flickr slideshow from softsea.

Did you also notice the Flag of the USA for our Olympic Blanket?  This is brilliant. A simple Granny Square as the base. If you want to join our Olympic Challenge details are once again over on our SIBOL CHALLENGE web-site.

Thank you so much Ellen for the gorgeous Watermelon Squares, Red Heart yarn for making up, card and indeed Piggy Slippers..... You are one kind lady to go to such a lot of trouble for SIBOL. Your work is fantastic and I'm sure everyone will agree.

Don't forget to check out Ellen's blog blog! I'm sure you'll love popping over.

Oh I would like to say welcome to Sandra our 400th Follower!

Bye for now

Sibolettes! Well done to you! We've done it again!

Good evening everyone!

It's so nice when I have news to tell you. I just can't wait to share it with you.

I did know a couple of months ago that SIBOL was going to feature in Knit Today. Last Friday the issue came out but I've had trouble getting a copy. Thanks to Melanie for telling me in the first place and also joyce28. This evening Mr. Twins has managed to scan me a couple of copies and now I am ready to share them with you.

Knit Today is a really lovely magazine here in the UK concentrating mainly on Knitting of course, but they do also have features on Crocheting and indeed patterns from time to time. I'm really pleased that our project was mentioned along with the Royal Wedding Blanket pictured.

Here is the main cover. If you click on the picture it will take you over to Flickr. Then go to 'actions' then 'sizes'. You'll then be able to read it..

Well done SIBOLETTES! We've done it again!

Then the actual article is here.

SIBOL has an article in Knit Today August 2011 Issue 62.

Thank you very much Knit Today!

I would also like to mention at this point that we will also be featured  in Simply Knitting. The issue No will be 85 and it will be out on September 6th.  They requested lots of photos and I've done my best to supply them with what I can. I have gained permission before sending the photos off to them. So let's see what happens in September. Something to look forward to.

Thanks to everyone for your comments on 'Endless Summer Flowers' and thanks to Marilyn for giving me an idea for the name.

So I think that's all for now.  Until next time, Goodnight!

Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 73 - 'Endless Summer Flowers'.

I'm just loving the colours in this Blanket.

Good Evening Everyone!

I'm very happy to be showing you my 73rd Ta - Dah this evening.  It's called 'Endless Summer Flowers' and has been named by Marilyn. Thank you!   I've been trying to get some decent photos outside, but it's rather difficult when the sun is belting down on our 'south facing' patio. It was so hot
out there today.  So I went back out there about 5 o'clock to try again.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed Squares for this Blanket. I have thoroughly enjoyed making it up. I still get such a buzz even though I've made so many! I just love the colours in this Blanket. I have tried to use the same colours in the border  as in Maree's Flower Squares which are the two Squares each side of the middle Square. They are my favourite colours and actually the same ones in the throw I made a while back in my Conservatory.

Thanks to everyone that has contributed Squares for this Blanket. 'Please add note' if you see your own Square.

If you see your Square click on this photo and pop over to Flickr. I would love you to 'add note' on your Square!

I hope you like it. The Squares were amazing! I appreciate each and every one of them thank you!

The ribbon was supplied by Puppet Lady.
The Flowers by Chalky 75.
The Butterflies by Anakat.
The Squares by you, thank you!

Bye for now thanks for visiting 'SIBOL' today!
