Sunshine Blankets, Hats and Gloves arrive today!

Good Morning to you all!

Thank you very much for popping in to our 'SIBOL' Blog.

This morning I would like to thank Lyn from Bournemouth who has very kindly sent me a bumper parcel of 'SIBOL' goodies. I knew she was busy Knitting Sunshine Blankets for us but I had no idea she had also made a Scarf and  Hats and Gloves too. The parcel arrived this morning from Hermes courier. I have to say a while back I wasn't too impressed with their service when they let me down on a collection from my home but lately they seemed to have got their act together. Not only can you have your parcel signed but you can also pay I think 30p to have a text sent to your phone when your parcel has been delivered. Amongst the other couriers they are the cheapest too and their service is excellent.  So thank you very much Lyn for sending the parcel to me.

Let's take a look inside now.

Christmas deadline for your 'SIBOL' donations 2014.

Good Morning.

Just letting you know if I could please that all Sunshine Blankets, Shawls, and Christmas Gift items for the Elderly should be with me by end of November if possible.  This is so I have plenty of time to sort them out ready for my final deliveries of the year.

I would like to thank everyone today for their wonderful support over the year once again. We have had some amazing Sunshine Blankets and Shawls arrive here at SIBOL HQ and the Homes really appreciate your wonderful work.

Without your help we wouldn't have achieved 871 Sunshine Blankets! I would really love to reach 1,000! Maybe next year. I shall have to do a count of the Shawls for you.

Thanks so much

Well it was like Christmas again at SIBOL HQ today because I received a parcel from Myrna here in the UK.  I knew she had been crocheting for our SIBOL project but I had no idea that she had made and donated so many Shawls and Sunshine Blankets! Each one a joy to receive I can tell you.

Let's take a look at them now.

The Shawls first - they are so colourful!

I asked Myrna how she finds the time. She tells me she takes her hook on holiday with her as we all do and she crochets while watching TV!

These Shawls and Sunshine Blankets are truly amazing. I can't thank you enough for making  and donating them Myrna!

I shall be taking them out very soon!

I know the Homes are going to love them.

Good afternoon,

I have more Sunshine Blankets  to show you today. I would like to thank Sally for helping me
assemble them. Most of the Squares have come in from Irene our 90 year  old, but also some I have had at home in my Stash.

These Blankets are all so different and  once again I am very grateful to Sally. She certainly has a knack of putting them together and each one is once again 'unique'.

Let's take a look at them now.
