Squares from Australia arrive today!

Hello Everyone!

Good Morning! Tuesday morning - and at 7.30 am this morning Squares arrived from 'down under'. Yes, all the way from Australia. I am very pleased to say your Squares Joyce have arrived safely. I'm always so pleased when I know they have arrived and I can mail the person to say that they have arrived at 'Two Times'.

I have said many, many times how Granny Squares can look so different, and Joyces' are no exception. She has used a variety of Colours, and I want you to look at them to see how they change appearance you might say. They just look so lovely and I'm really pleased you are taking part Joyce.

I do hope you will pop over to Joyce and say hello, she has a lovely blog and I'm sure she'll be pleased to welcome you. Thanks ever so much Joyce, and make yourself a coffee for I now have your very own Slide Show. Beautiful Squares I just love them.......

oh wow, thanks Sue, you make them look so good in your beautiful garden. wow, my little squares have travelled so far. So weird to think they were attached to my little hook in my little lounge room not that long ago. Gosh, what an adventure they are going to have and a lovely holiday at your place. You have such a beautiful garden Sue, and I so love how you display the squares for photos. Thank you so much for taking the time to be so dedicated to this wonderful cause. Thank you for having this awesome blog, I wouldn't have gotten to meet you and all the other wonderful women here. Bless.

Thank you Joyce for those words! Yes I know when you think of all the little squares that are travelling all those miles! They are seeing more of the world probably than what we would! I am so pleased you are enjoying 'The SIBOL EXPERIENCE!' HA.HA. We are pleased to have you with us! x

Wonderful squares Joyce! They are really pretty. Sue always does a fantastic job with photographing the squares in the garden. Lovely!

We no longer accept Squares but we do accept

your Crocheted and Knitted Blankets. We also

accept Knitted and Crocheted Shawls.

Donations of Sunshine Blankets/Shawls/Butterflies can be accepted between these dates.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
