What a Wonderful World Squares and three beautiful donated Blankets!

Good Afternoon,

I had some lovely Blankets arrive in the post today from Kathy and I would like to thank her very much indeed for making them. The three Blankets are all so different and it was interesting to see that we have a Granny Stripe amongst them. I'm calling this one 'Stripey Granny'.

Why not pop over to Lucy's Blog and have a go yourself! Here's the Link and of course you too could donate one to SIBOL! All of our Blankets showing on the SIBOL Blog are made for the Elderly in Nursing/Care Homes/Sheltered Accommodation and in the past we have also given them to Elderly people out in the Community. Since January 2010 we have made nearly  500 and I am very grateful to everyone that has supported our work. They really are making a difference to the Elderly. When I go out to the Homes I am often told that the ones they have are 'old and tatty' and what a great way of brightening someones day up! I will have to go out to the Homes over the next week I think I have over 20 upstairs which really need a home now.

Making Blankets up and sending them to me really does help me as you can imagine. Please be assured that every Blanket I receive here goes out to the Elderly and are never sold. The only ones we sell are ones that we make for Charities such as in the past Marie Curie, Breast Cancer, Alzheimers, Mencap, organisations like that. I do also make Blankets 'personally' which are sold to raise money for my 'hidden fees' such as Stationery, yarn, ribbons, petrol etc.,

Now let's get back to the Blankets that I have received.

I love this one too. Aren't these colours good together?
