'What's Black and White and 'Red' all over? SIBOL No. 52

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to all our new Followers......

Well I've been very busy today with SIBOL.  It seems as though I have been on this computer all day! I don't mind though.  I need my Secretary here, dear Aishwarya! She's a good girl you know, she's taken care of 'Ravelry' for me. She's very professional, she really is, very quick on the mark loading up all the new Squares for me over there.  Well Singapore is a quite a few hours in front of us, so when she wakes up tomorrow she'll have some more Squares and ' a Blanket' to load up. If you haven't already  been over to Ravelry, please do.  Introduce yourself to us and have a chat, why not? The button is on the top of the page to the right.

I have to thank you.  A BIG thank you!  For today I am showing you the 52nd Blanket.  It's called 'The Newspaper Blanket' because.....it's Black and White and 'Red' all over! ha.ha.  The Squares you have sent in for this Black and White Challenge have simply been absolutely AMAZING!! The variety has just been so wonderful.  It's always such a pleasure to see what comes in. It's a pleasure too to crochet them all up.  So can you do this in your head? Or do you need a Calculator?  52 'Sunshine Blankets' now, 25 Squares in each.  Answers at the bottom of the page! :)

Without further a do, because I have to get the tea on..... Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 52 'The Newsaper Blanket'.

Squares from UK ! /Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 51 'Black and White Challenge' 3/4 'Zebra Candy!'

Thank you all so much for your Black and White Squares!

Hello Everyone!

I always get terribly excited when I have a new Ta - Dah for you.  Today I am posting the third of the 'Black and White' Challenge.  I have one more in this set to show you which is going to be slightly different.

May I thank everyone for the gorgeous Black and White Squares that I have received.  It's always such an absolute pleasure to receive your Squares. Interesting to see which pattern you come up and how indeed I can place them in the Blankets.  Funny really, because I plan and plan them. It's only when they are absolutely finished I think, golly I wish I had put that Square there, or I wish I had put that Square there. If you know what I mean.  The Squares look so different when they are assembled and have the border crocheted around the edge.   I hope you like it. We've all enjoyed making the Squares, and I have certainly had fun making them into 'Sunshine Blankets'.

Thank you to all that have contributed Squares for SIBOL. 'Please add note!' Thank You!

Here's the Slide Show for SIBOL No. 51, any name for this one? I know it's difficult they are all pretty much the same.

Thanks Ellen for naming the Blanket 'Zebra Candy!'

Squares today have come in from Ruth Marie please pop over to her blog and say hello!
Ruth has made a 'Circle of Friends' Square in beautiful colours..........

Up-date Squares from Guess who in the Netherlands! :) Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 49 'Black and White' Challenge 1/4

Ta - Dah! SIBOL 49 'Black and White' theme 1/4.

Hello Everyone!

This is my second post today. I do hope you will go back to the previous post and have a look at the Squares from loopy_jess, bonsall and Didsbury 13.

I have a Ta - Dah! today for you. This is SIBOL No. 49.  Now for anyone new visiting SIBOL, we have Challenges throughout the year. I have been working on the 'Black and White' Challenge from 2010. I am very pleased to say I have now finished the first of the 'Black and White' Blankets. Would you be able to think of a name for this one? I had great fun making the Blanket, including Knitted Squares on this one too.

The Squares have all been superb! I have really enjoyed working with them. Such a variety, do take a look. Thanks to everyone that has very kindly sent me Squares for this Challenge. I have been working on the Black and Whites in a different order this time. I assembled the four Blankets up first, then working on the Borders after. So in the next week or two you will see the other three.

Here we go.....

I'm not going outside today, pouring of rain!

I couldn't go outside as it was pouring of rain, so I took some photos inside, but unfortunately the light is not too good, roll on the Summer!

I thought I had finished today's post, but I have just received Karins' Squares! Please take a look.

Karin has made Jan Eaton No. 38 'Dahlia'. Such a pretty Square and one of Karins' favourites!

Jan Eaton No. 38 'Dahlia'. Beautiful Squares Karin, thank you!
