Ta - Dah! Introducing SIBOL No. 43 'Strawberries and Cream' theme 3/4
Hello Everyone!
Thanks so much for the great comments of rebekka's goodies 50 Squares!. They were beautiful Squares and I'm pleased you liked the Blankets I made with them.
I have a Ta - Dah for you today! Yes another one! Now first of all I have to say I am working on the Jan Eaton Blanket so please bear with me. The squares did actually come in various sizes so I am having to do extra work on it. Now this Blanket is No. 3 of 4 'Strawberry and Cream' Challenge. I am desperately trying to get this set of 4 finished so I can take them along to the Nursing Homes. I then will devote more time to the Jan Eaton one. I know you are all longing to make a Square in the next 26 to 50 but I need to get the first Jan Eaton one finished before I accept any more Squares for Jan Eaton. I want to see how it works out.
As usual the Squares in the 'Strawberry and Cream' Challenge are just perfect. I went outside this morning and had 'Strawberries and Cream' with cupcakes in the snow! It was bitterly cold out there. I must be mad!!!
Thank you all so much for these Squares. They are really nice. As I say there is one more to do, and I will be trying to get that one finished as soon as I can. I really want to get this set finished so I can give them out.
I hope you understand.
So here our SIBOL No. 43 'Slide Show' enjoy!
......I hope you like it. Thanks again!
Keep warm everyone!

Squares from the Netherlands
Good Morning Everyone!
Well this morning we are covered in that white stuff. I suppose it was expected we had been listening to the weather forecast. My Garden was covered with a thin layering of snow this morning
but that didn't stop me from having a walk outside with Saskia from Crafty Valley. Saskia very kindly sent me some beautiful Squares this morning for SIBOL. They are so pretty, brightly coloured I just love them.
Isn't it lovely? Thank you Saskia. Please pop over to her blog and say hello to her.
Saskia welcome to SIBOL, you are officially one of our 'SIBOLETTES!'. Now sit back and enjoy your Slide Show.
Created with flickr slideshow from softsea.
You've made my day with your beautiful SIBOL Squares and bag too, thank you!
Have a nice day everyone!

You know when you are a SIBOLETTE, when your Squares have a rest on my bench outside.
Saskia made such beautiful Squares for SIBOL and I most grateful to her.
I'm over the moon too this morning because guess what I won 'another' Blog Giveaway. I must be going through a Lucky streak in Blogland, because today I had this come in the post. One of Saskia's beautiful bags. Her crocheting is absolutely gorgeous. Do you want to see? The colours are superb.

Lucky SIBOL!
Hello Everyone!
I'm popping in to show you what I had in the post this morning. Recently Steph held a Giveaway on her
blog. She had 12 - 50g balls of Gedifra Selena Ribbon that she no longer had a use for and she was asking what her Followers would do with the Ribbon yarn if they were so lucky to be chosen to receive it.
Well I left a comment on her blog saying that if SIBOL was lucky enough to be chosen they would definitely find a use for it. When our SIBOL Blankets are finished they are prettily tied up with Ribbon. The Ribbon yarn would be absolutely ideal for this purpose.
Well I was amazed to find out that SIBOL had been chosen to receive the Ribbon yarn. So in the post this morning we received
Gedifra Selena Ribbon Yarn
in 4 different colours:
Blue & Orange
Blue & Yellow
Blue & Pink
Blue & Blue
and this is what I have already done with some of the yarn.
The rest I will be keeping for when I do the Mens Blankets, the colours of the Ribbon yarn are perfect. Thank You so much Steph. Please pop over to her blog and say hello!
I am working on the Jan Eaton Blanket and the last two Strawberry and Cream ones too. There's quite a bit of work on the Jan Eaton one so bear with me.
I hope you all have a good weekend, the sun is shining at the moment so that's good! Been pretty cold again though. Wrap up everyone!
Thanks again Steph, very nice of you.

The Story of rebekka's goodies' Squares' 'Double Ta - Dah!' SIBOLS 41 and 42! 'White Blossom' and 'Lilac Bloom'.
Good Morning Everyone!
Well what a freezing cold morning it is has been in the UK this morning! That didn't stop me at all from doing my work for SIBOL. There I was outside at around 9.00 am this morning taking photographs of a 'Double Ta -Dah! Double you say? Yes, that's right!
I'll tell you what happened back in July.
On the 15th July (yes all those months ago) I received wait for it 50 Squares! Yes, that's right 50. I was amazed. They came from rebekka's goodies' all the way from the South of England.
I received 50 Squares, 25 purple and 25 green. They were split into 8 Daisy flowers, 2 African flowers, 16 Poppy Flowers and 24 Granny Squares.
rebekka's goodies even sent me possible layout designs which I have followed. She did say I could split them up and use them in other Blankets but I thought they would look better left altogether. The photo below is the layout rebekka's goodies thought of. I have followed it for her.
Well rebekka's goodies I do hope you will like the Blankets I have made with your Squares. I have to say I have had trouble getting the correct colour yarn to match them up with. I hope you like what I have come up with.
and the other Blanket........

Hello Everyone!
I've had two lots of Squares come in this morning from Ruth in Spain and also Jayne in the UK. Thank you both so much!
First of all just to update you. I'm sorry I have been quiet I've had a few things going on at home. While I've been quiet I have been trying to do some SIBOL work on the evenings. Time has been a problem for me during the day.
Two of the 'Strawberry and Cream' Blankets are finished as you know, two more to do of those. Thank you to everyone who has left me comments, I'm most grateful thank you.
I am also trying to get the First 'Jan Eaton' Blanket made up. I have started this one. I don't really want to post another Block List on the Side bar just yet, as I want to get the first finished.
I will also be able to show you Rebekka_uk's Blankets soon. If you remember she sent me 50 Squares.
Our Blankets are ready to be delivered to Nursing Homes any day. I will do this as soon as I can. I have my Daughter at home from work so I can't do it until shes back and things have settled down, as you will understand I am sure. Time has been rather limited for me with one thing and another. I am desperate to deliver our Blankets now, but I just haven't had the chance. I hope you will understand. They all look so pretty.
Anyway, gettiing back to the Squares.

Here's your very own Slide show Jayne, and thank you!

Ta - Dah!' The Big 40! 'Strawberry Delight' and Jan Eaton Square from Kimbles!
Hello Everyone!
I'm very pleased to be introducing you to SIBOL No. 40 today! But before I do Moleymakes (UK) has sent me some pretty Squares. I'd like you to see them.....
Don't you just love the patterns and the colours? My favourite colour is pink and I just love these! Thank you so much Moleymakes, they really are gorgeous! Each one so interesting.......
Now my Ta - Dah! I have to thank you all because today I am showing you 'the Big 40!'. I can't believe I have now assembled 1,000 of your gorgeous Squares. Do you want to take a look? I hope you like it! Pity the weather hasn't been too good today, I've done my best with the photographs out in the garden.....
------------------
Thank you Tinka for telling me today where she obtained her 'Jan Eaton' 200 Blocks book. She gave me a link she used.... I'm sure she won't mind me pasting this part of her email to me.
I'm so happy today because I just got Jan Eaton's book by mail! I found a link where I could buy it much cheaper than on Amazon.com, and the shipping was free! So now I have the "Bible of crocheted squares" for only 9,14 Euro ( sorry no idea how much that is in £ but I'm sure when you click the link it will give the price in your currency.) I thought I should send you the link because you are "promoting" the book on your crochet sites. I geuss many people will be thrilled knowing this book is available at this minimum price.

Without further a do as we say......Here's SIBOL No. 40's Slide Show. Sit back and enjoy 'hopefully'.
UPDATE - Friday
Thank you Kim for your Jan Eaton Square. This Square is No. 5 'Twin Stripes'. I love the colours you have used and it's such a pretty pattern. The last one has arrived I can now start making the Blanket. I'm so pleased you have taken part in our Challenge.

Squares from USA!
Hello Everyone!
I'm very happy to be showing you some great Squares that came in yesterday from USA!. itty_bitty very kindly sent me the most gorgeous Squares. Such a variety, beautiful patterns and beautiful colours. Unfortunately, I couldn't get them posted for her yesterday because Mr. Twins and myself went down to Poole, South of England to see our dear friends Brenda and Owen. We had a wonderful day with them both but it was late when we got back so unfortunately no time to take photos etc., Thank you both for the wonderful gift yesterday, it's on my table 'take a look', so pretty!.......
If you go over to Flickr there are some details about the Squares. itty_bitty very kindly sent me Squares with tags on labelling where she found the pattern from! So useful and I'm most grateful for that information.
I've had enquiries about the 'Jan Eaton' blanket. I am still waiting for one Square, but when I receive that one I shall be working on it. Thank you to everyone who have sent me Squares. Thank you itty_bitty for No. 1 'Triangle Stripes!' Lovely Square.
I am hoping to give the Blankets out in a week or two, they are nearly ready. I've been busy tying them up with ribbons and doing the cards for them. When I stand back and look at the Blankets I'm just amazed! They really do look so lovely. Thank you to everyone!
I have to apologise for being quiet and not been able to get round the blogs again. I have been busy doing the Blankets and that's the reason.
Also many thanks 'Crafty Valley' apparently I have won her wonderful giveaway! What a surprise, I'm just so excited! Please pop over and say hello! She will welcome new Followers I am sure.
Well I'm really excited to be showing you these Squares. Such lovely yarn was used on these Squares and the patterns and ideas are just fantastic.
The one Square with the dress on will be great I think for when we do the 'Young at Heart' Blanket' next year, although I have to formally announce the Challenges. 1st Jan, you will have to wait a bit longer I'm afraid. This Square will be idea. If you have any Challenge ideas, the place to go and post them is on the Flickr SIBOL GROUP.
Would you take a look at them now? itty_bitty here's your Slide Show, I am most grateful and I am now officially welcoming you as one of our 'SIBOLETTES!' Nice to have you join our group.
Created with flickr slideshow from softsea.
Thank you all for your wonderful support. I am just doing the border on No. 40! 1,000 Squares will then have been assembled.
Have a nice day everyone!

Squares from Austria and the UK!
Hello Everyone!
I hope you all had a nice weekend. The weather here in the UK has been pretty dreadful all day long. We have had rain, rain, rain! So dark and miserable. I hope we have a bit of sunshine tomorrow or Wednesday because I will have my latest SIBOL to show you. I need some sunshine please!!!!
Thank you to the Ladies who have been over to the Flickr SIBOL Group.. I asked for ideas for future Blankets. Would you like to join us over there? I am welcome to any ideas you may have. These will be announced in the New Year.
While I am talking about Squares. I keep meaning to ask you. Tinka (ATheeC Flickr) was enquiring about 'colour diagrams' for Squares that she could try. She lives in Belgium and finds Crocheting instructions hard to understand, like myself I add. If you have any, or could tell us where you have obtained yours from, would you share with us? Thank You. My email address is sueatpigsty@talktalk.net or you can leave a comment on this SIBOL Blog for her. Pertinitaco has helped her in the past, and she was most grateful for her help.
Now I have had some Squares come in today which will be great for our Mens Challenge. The actual Mens Challenge has ended, but I can still use them because I'm doing the Strawberry and Cream theme at the moment.
So thank you Elke (Austria) for your Squares and the beautiful Card. Just take a look at this. Yummy yarn!
Purple and Green, my Mothers' favourite colours!
Then Pippa has sent me some too along with some Ribbon, thank you very much. These Squares too will be useful for our Mens Challenge.
Here's Pippas' Squares.
So thank you Pippa and Tinka!
Bye for now......

REMEMBER, REMEMBER THE 5TH November and the beautiful Blankets we made to celebrate this occasion.
Hello Everyone!
Just wishing you all a very Happy Bonfire Night! Well tonight is the evening when everyone lets off Fireworks to celebrate the failure to blow up the Houses of Parliament in the UK.
I do hope tonight we don't get Fireworks through our Letter box, like we did two years ago!
I couldn't let the day go by without posting photos of our Bonfire Night Blankets. Do you remember them?
'Guy Fawkes Delight'
'Fireworks'
'Striking Light'
I've been in a bit of a difficult situation this morning, because last night I put a post up asking for someone to help me by Crocheting up the last Jan Eaton Square No. 21. That poor little Square was unhappy because no one seemed to want to 'bring her to life!'. Well when I was in bed last night checking my mail on my iphone 'Jess' mailed me and said she would do it. So I replied back saying yes please!
Then this morning Luna has posted saying she has made No.21. (Before I could get on line). Although I am so happy Luna did this for SIBOL, I think really I shall have to let Jess make it because she was the first to mail me. Is that okay with you Luna? May I use your beautiful Square for the Mens Blankets?
OOh I do hate tricky situations......
It is so nice to see Luna is back posting with us. I hope you have had a great time with your Mother and your family Luna.
Have a good day everyone!

Jan Eaton Challenge
Hello Everyone,
I'm very pleased to say I am only waiting for a few Jan Eaton Squares now.
BUT poor old Block No. 21 out of the Jan Eaton 200 Block book is sitting quite upset because
she thinks that no ones loves her. She is sittiing all alone in the book and is waiting to be brought to life!
Now all she needs is for someone to say 'Mrs Twins, can I do No. 21 please!' Then this will definitely
put a smile on her face. Just mail me if you are interested. sueatpigsty@talktalk.net
All her other little friends (apart from a couple which haven't arrived) are sitting patiently in a shoe box
just waiting to be made into a Blanket. They want to come into Mrs Twins' Lounge by the fire and have a
warm before been hooked.
Can YOU make a Block happy? If so do you fancy making No. 21. I can mail you the scanned copy, if you don't have the book.
The only condition is that you haven't already made a Block for the Jan Eaton Blanket.
Now talking of Jan Eaton Squares, thank you so much Marion for the beautiful Jan Eaton Square received today. This one is No. 22 'St. Petersburg. Marion has made a wonderful job of it and I have taken a photo so you can all see.
Thanks so much, I am really pleaesed you joined our Challenge.
Beautiful Square Marion, thank you!
