Hello Everyone!
Just popping into my favourite place to say thank you for all the lovely comments on the Christmas Blankets. I am so pleased you liked them. As I said before we had such lovely Squares come in for this Challenge, and it was so...much fun putting them together!
I'm going to post now the three Christmas Blankets hoping that you will see your Square, if you haven't already.
'Christmas Blooms'
'Tidings of Comfort and Joy'
'Christmas Spirit'
Can I remind you that we still have a Block Number available on the Jan Eaton list. No. 21 is FREE! Would anyone like to have a go at doing this one? It's the only Block Number left now. Then I can start making the Blanket up. Please email me sueatpigsty@talktalk.net Please do not enter if you have already made a Block.
Thank you!
I've been very busy today (that's why I'm quiet) I'm getting the Blankets ready now to be given out. There is a lot of work to be done. Getting the photos printed of the Blankets, printing my gift cards out which I've managed to do on my own without the help of Mr. Twins this time! clever me.....
I've bought some ribbon from Hobby Craft today. I've been rummaging through their shelves trying to find the cheap ribbon. Came across some 25p a metre, so I was pleased with that. I have enough to be going on with then I shall pay them another visit. I do think the Blankets look pretty with ribbon tied in a bow. I'm aiming to give the Blankets out at the end of November.
What else? Um..... I havent' had any more Squares to show you at the moment, but if any come in I'll be putting them on Flickr and of course SIBOL.
I was having a nice chat with Janet on email this week. She makes the most beautiful puppets for charity, please pop over to her blog and have a look at them. She was saying on her blog how terribly attached she becomes to her puppets. I feel the same about our SIBOL Blankets. They have become part of me now! I shall really be so sad to see them leave me but of course this was my aim. We've done very well SIBOLETTES, haven't we? Thank You all so much.
Of course I shall continue to make the Blankets up. I have the Jan Eaton one to start (when I have the last few Squares come in) and my next batch of Squares will be the Strawberry and Cream Challenge. There are four Blankets to be made up. They are already for my hook! But at the moment I need to get my Blankets ready.
So I'll leave you now with a few Strawberry and Cream Squares! I've just picked out a few to remind you!
Do you remember these Squares? I know it's been a long time, but I'm about to start making them up now.
Golly the flowers, the sunshine!
Thanks everyone!

Wow Sue, it continues on and I will have to start looking in my stash for Strawberries and Cream.
ReplyDeleteWhy not make a mention next post of what type or ribbon you need Sue to remind anyone who may want to donate some along with their squares or in place of if they are too busy with making them you would certainly appreciate ribbon!
