300 'Sunshine Blankets' - Thank you!

Thanks to everyone that has supported 'SIBOL' since January 2010. We have now made 300 'Sunshine Blankets!'.

Good Morning,

We have now made 300 'Sunshine Blankets' for the Elderly and I would like to thank everyone that has helped me with the 'SIBOL' project. Without your help we could have not been so...successful! I really appreciate your kindness.

Today I would like to thank Pamela for the beautiful Squares received today. 2 - Think Pinks and 1 - Daffodil Square. These Squares are amazing! I love the patterns on the Think Pinks and the Daffodil is so delicate looking.

I am grateful to you Pamela for knitting a border around the Square because I find it easier to join when there is a firm border. Let's take a look at the Squares now and a BIG THANK YOU!

Wow! 300! That's a fantastic achievement! Well done to you, Sue, and all the other ladies who help out. As the cold weather starts, it's good to know thatt your blankets will keep someone warm and cosy.

I live in the UK.

I'm making 'Sunshine International Blankets of Love' For the Elderly'.
(see 28th Feb post) In Memory of my Grandmother, with the help of my on-line friends.
Would you like to help me?

I'm asking for 6" x 6" (15cms x 15cms) Knitted or Crocheted Squares.
Any Design, Any Colour, Straight Edge please.
Acrylic if possible (or whatever you have in your stash!)
No deadline, no panic,no rush.

All 'Sunshine Blankets' will be donated to Nursing Homes in the UK.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
