The Winner of the 'Wedding Bells' competition is................and I also have a Ta - Dah for you!
Hello Everyone!
Well the day has arrived in many ways that one. First of all it is the Royal Wedding Day so as a Group we are Congratulating William and Kate and wishing them all the best on their Wedding Day.
I'm watching on TV as I write this post so I'm not missing anything.
Well it's April 29th and I'm very pleased to be telling you that the Winner of the 'Wedding Bells' competition has now been announced......and guess what it is .....................................'SIBOL'! We have won first prize in the competition held by Great British Yarns. We have successfully won a £50.00 on-line yarn voucher! I am so grateful to Sharon who organised the competition and she would like me thank you all for a most beautiful entry! She was very pleased with our Blanket indeed, she absolutely loved it.
I would also like to tell you that the Royal Wedding Blanket is now on EBAY. If you are interesting in making a bid please follow the link! Proceeds will go towards the Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton Charitable Gift Fund which supports various charities. There are other items on Ebay that were entered into the Competition so I do hope you will look at these too.
Please pop over to Sharons blog and see the other entries. They have all been made beautifully and I would like to say well done to them too!
The Ebay Auction closes today, so please pop over and have a look.
I'm absolutely over the moon thank you Sharon! Many thanks to you all for contributing such wonderful Squares and for taking such an interest in this special project.
UPDATE - Saturday 8.30pm.
I'm so pleased that our Royal Wedding Blanket has sold on EBAY for £112.00, along with the other items that were entered for the competition.
The proceeds of the Auction will go towards the above charity.
Thank you to everyone involved.

I'm very pleased to be showing you our latest SIBOL. The Blanket has been assembled by my very good friend BrendaS2 (Flickr). I'm sure you will agree the Blanket is gorgeous. Thank you to everyone that has
sent me Squares for this Blanket, they have all been lovely! Thank you Brenda very much indeed I absolutely love it and I think you have made a great job of it!
I particularly like how Brenda has finished the Blanket off, such a nice edging and most appropriate for a Man I think and also Brenda has made a lovely alternative to ribbon. She took several strands of yarn and made a long chain which she tied beautifully on the Blanket.
I do hope Brenda you will name our Blanket and thank you so much! I have made a Slide Show for you, sit back and enjoy!
Thank you Sharon, Thank you Brenda! Most importantly thank you to everyone that very kindly contributed Squares to our SIBOL 'Royal Wedding Blanket'. I am most grateful to you all.
Have a good day everyone!
x Sue x
