Hello Everyone!
I have lots to tell you, where do I start?
The Bidding on EBAY is going extremely well. If anyone else wants to place a bid for the 'Think Pink' Blanket then please follow this link now to EBAY!
This is a really pretty Blanket, beautiful Squares, great shades of pink and wonderful patterns! Would you like to own your very own SIBOL? Then please pop over to EBAY! Lotti organised this particular Challenge and she made a wonderful job of collecting the Squares on my behalf and assembling them. The Blanket is superb! Thank you Lotti!
I am very pleased to be telling you that we have now finished the 'Your Local Landscape' Blanket. Once again Squares have been collected with 'Landscape' in mind. What do you see from your Window?' Well it was very interesting indeed to see how you put your favourite Landscape into a Knitted or Crocheted Square. I do hope you like this Blanket.
This Blanket will be sent off now to Jersey Textile Showcase where it will be exhibited and then sold to raise money for Mencap. I have been promised photographs of the Blanket on show and we will also find out how much the Blanket raised which is really good. Of course I will enclose details about 'SIBOL'.
Thanks to everyone that has contributed Squares for this Blanket I am terribly grateful to you all!
---------------------------
The news continues.....Today I went out and bought a copy of 'Inside Crochet'.
I would like to thank everyone that voted for 'SIBOL'. We were a runner up alongside Crochet Concupiscence and Emma Varnam. Little Tin Bird came 3rd, Planet June 2nd, and Attic 24 1st! So well done to everyone!
Thank you all for your votes each one was very much appreciated!
---------------------------
I was amazed to flick through the pages because I found 'Thoughtful Gifts' by 'Sue McGorie!'. If you'd like to have a read I am going to post photos of the pages. If you click on to them, you will go to Flickr where you have the option to enlarge the photo so you can read it.
This was a lovely four page spread, a great write up about our group telling you how it all started. If anyone would like a copy themselves I would be prepared to get you a copy and send it to you if you could pay for the magazine and post and packing. I do have a Pay Pal facility on the SIBOL website. So please let me know!

Have a nice weekend,

I'm very pleased to be showing you an Olympic Square which arrived this morning. This Square is depicting Dorset down the South of England. A beautiful Square showing colourful boats. Thank you so much for making this Square for me Brenda. I put an identical one into the Landscape Blanket which she made for SIBOL and I'm very grateful to you!
Another gorgeous Square which arrived today has come all the way from Canada! lynnw63 (RAV) has very kindly took part in our Wiggles Challenge. This Square is another pretty one, I love the colour combinations you have used and I'm sure Debi will love it too. This is going to be a great Wiggles Blanket.
It's very nice of you to have a go at this Square lynnw63! Thank you!

ReplyDeleteDear Sue,
ReplyDeleteThe landscape blanket is fantastic! I love it!!! And you did use both my squares! I am thrilled, I didn't think my Stone Mountain one would fit in, but I think it looks good!
Oh, and I see my photo in the magazine. Thanks! I will ask my mother-in-law to get a copy for me, I can't see it well enough to read on my computer screen, but it looks like a nicely written article!
Love,
Kay
