Mondays Squares 'Royal Wedding Challenge! France and UK!

Good Morning Everyone!

Thank you all so much for your kind comments on 'Ceila's Happiness' SIBOL No.58. I'm pleased you liked it.

Today I would like to thank eclectic gipsyland (France) for two beautiful Knitted Squares. She noticed over on Flickr that we was in the process of doing this special Challenge and I'm so pleased that she's taken part. She is a new 'SIBOLETTE' and I'm really pleased she has joined our Group!

The Squares are absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful ideas and I just love them.

bonsall has very kindly sent me some more Royal Wedding Squares and I just think these are so 'creative!'
What a wonderful idea to crochet William and Kate! This blanket is certainly going to be interesting with all the different Squares to look at. Absolutely gorgeous bonsall and I'm so pleased you have been taking part in our Challenges.

May I also say March 18th is nearly here. Please get your Royal Wedding Squares in very quickly now. I shall start crocheting them up very soon now.

I'm so pleased everyone likes the 'Circle of Friends' Blanket. I'm still waiting for one Square to come in from Australia for this Challenge.

I love eclectic gipsyland's, they are so neatly finished, lovely.

Hi Ms.Sue...I am in love with these Royal Wedding squares..I can not wait to see the finished product! I just gave the Garden Bell a little look see and guess what..she has finished putting together Purple Rain..seeing it really does make you wanna sing..**now I'll be singing Prince all night in my head** She truly did a wonderful job. It made me think..can you imagine if we had to pick our favorite Sibol blanket..where would you ever begin! lol

to Elderly Residents in Care/Nursing Homes.

Would you like to help us?

We no longer accept Squares but we do accept

your Crocheted and Knitted Blankets. We also

accept Knitted and Crocheted Shawls.

Please Note.

Donations of Sunshine Blankets/Shawls/Butterflies can be accepted between these dates.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
