Thank you for visiting SIBOL today!
May I first of all thank Steph for thinking of a fantastic name for SIBOL 56! She's naming this blanket 'Bloomin' Marvelous!'. Great name, thank you.

LIMIT OF 2 SQUARES PLEASE.
Your Square must be 6" to be accepted into this Challenge

Spring Blanket.
I'm asking for some really pretty picture Squares for this blanket. I loved doing the Seaside Blanket and the Ladies in the Home just loved looking at the different Squares.
So can you Crochet or Knit a Square, it has to have 'Spring' in mind. Anything to do with
Nature. Butterflies (my favourite), Birds Nests, Birdies, Caterpillars, Bees, Spring Flowers, Bluebells, Daffodils, Crocus etc.,
Have a think and see what you can come up with.
LIMIT OF 3 SQUARES PLEASE.
SQUARES MUST BE 6" X 6" (15cms x 15cms) to be accepted into this Blanket.
Deadline - EXTENDED END MARCH.
Farmyard Blanket.
Let's make another Picture Blanket, rather like the Seaside one again which we did. The theme is the 'Farmyard'. So let's have Squares with some Pigs, Cows, Barns, Tractors. Or you could make a Granny Square in the colours of the corn, grass, wheat. It could even be a picture of the Farmer and his Wife!
It's up to you.
LIMIT OF 3 SQUARES PLEASE.
SQUARES MUST BE 6" X 6" (15cms x 15cms) to be accepted into this Blanket.
DEADLINE END APRIL.
Please email me if there are any queries.

I'm very happy to be showing you some pretty Squares this afternoon which have come from the Netherlands. Crealientje has very kindly made her Circle of Friends Square, Jan Eaton (4O) Granny with a Twist, Two Tone Green Grannies and some other Squares using green variegated Green yarn too. They are all absolutely gorgeous. Please take a look and thank you Crealientje!
Here's your Slide Show Crealientje, thanks so much. I do hope you will all pop over to her blog and say hello! Welcome to SIBOL!
I hope you have fun with the Challenges which are left. I'm waiting for the last Squares to come in now for the Jan Eaton and Circle of Friends Challenge before I can make them up.
--------------------------
It's really strange lately because I've had a few emails asking me whether Ladies can make their own 25 Squares up for a blanket and then actually assemble the Squares themselves and then donate to SIBOL.
Well of course the answer is yes, if you'd like to do that. I'd be happy to accept Blankets from you even if
they are 'one large Granny' using those odd bits of yarn up. What ever makes you happy, makes me happy!
I would then be only too pleased to take them to one of the Nursing Homes for you.
I'd be most happy to showcase them on the SIBOL web-site too! Taking photos just like I do with the ones I make up. If you like you can become a team-blogger and tell us how you have made your own blanket.
You need an invitation for this so please contact me sueatpigsty@talktalk.net
If you are making a Blanket with Squares.
The Squares are 6" x 6"
I put 25 Squares into a Blanket.
With a 2 to 3" Border around.
So you roughly know the size.
-----------------------------------
Please pop over to Ravelry SIBOL Group too. Aishwarya is trying to organise a Postcard Swap 'are you interested?' We may do some CAL's too if we can get enough Ladies interested.
Why not leave a comment about Swaps over on our Ravelry SIBOL Group? What sort of Swap would you like SIBOL to organise for you. ' Aishwarya would love to know!'.
FRIDAY UP-DATE.
Just popping in to show you some lovely Squares which have arrived this morning.
First of all I would like to welcome Gail (UK). You are now 'officially' a SIBOLETTE!
Gail has sent me some Squares this morning and I think the colour combinations on these Squares are just perfect. It's always nice to welcome new Ladies and I do hope you will enjoy looking at your Squares on the SIBOL web site!
I've made you a small Slide Show Gail, enjoy and thank you! I love your Squares.
Next we have Merchy (Spain). Thank you so much Merchy for the Two Tone Green 'patterned' Squares which you have sent for the Challenge. They are gorgeous. Also Merchy's 'Circle of Friends' Square. They are all lovely, thank you so much!
I hope you enjoyed your Slide Show Merchy and Gail. Thank you once again. Just love everything about your Squares!
