Hi everyone!
Have you ever made a Granny square? There are plenty of video's on 'You Tube' to show you the technique. I sometimes think that starting with a Granny square is easier than starting with a crocheted chain and learning the basics that way.
I love how using different colours of yarn can make the squares look so...different. During the past 32 months I have had the priviledge of receiving lots of beautiful squares for our blankets from all over the world, but I keep coming back to the 'Granny square' as one of my favourites of all time.
Today I have finished SIBOL 254 and this blanket is made up of purely Grannies! All different colours of yarn and I do hope you like it as much as I do!
Let's take a look now.
The border is from the book 'Around The Corner Crochet Borders' by Edie Eckman.
A great book giving easy instructions.
I decided to crochet in just plain cream as there were so many colours going on in this blanket it's always difficult knowing what to do.
Isn't it gorgeous? I love this one once again. Another pretty blanket for the Ladies in the home. Thanks to everyone that contributed squares for this blanket.
I'm always accepting 'Butterflies' as you know. Why not join our Butterfly Group on 'SIBOL?'
Here's the link to Nettie's Butterflies.
Please mail me for my address if you want to make any.
