Our work for the Elderly is continuing, we are busy assembling squares into blankets ready to give out for our final delivery in November just before Christmas. I thought I might have gone out sooner but with family commitments I think I am going to be rather pushed for time. This will give us chance to get as many blankets made up as we can. November is a nice time to go out to do our final delivery of the year because it's just before Christmas. I remember last year I delivered enough blankets for everyone in one of the homes. The Manager was going to give them out on Christmas Day, how nice would that have been!
I am getting down the bags of squares and it's lovely to see us making such wonderful blankets. I have had to put a stop on squares for a while to give me chance to get them made up. It's important to me that I can use the squares that you have kindly sent me.
It really is a touching moment when an Elderly person receives one of our blankets especially when they don't have family and friends visiting them. To know that someone has made a square in their blanket or indeed a whole blanket really warms their heart.
If you have Knitted and Crocheted for yourself and family and don't know what else to make, why not think of 'SIBOL'. We will be accepting squares very soon again but that doesn't mean you can't make anything now. Why not make some squares and make them in to your own blanket for 'SIBOL?'. We do accept blankets that you have made and this really will help us keep our numbers up. Or maybe you have some Crocheted or Knitted blankets that you have made and haven't got a use for which sometimes happens. We can put them to good use for you. Please email me if there is anything you would like to ask me.

Before I show you the latest blankets, can I just tell you about 'Let's Get Crafting' Issue No. 43. On pages 50 & 51 there are 4 Granny squares. They are basic but why not use the patterns in a blanket for 'SIBOL?'
They are featuring four granny squares in each of the next 5 issues. When you buy the magazine you also get free yarn.
I'm sure you want to see the latest blankets now.
I am very pleased to be showing you a blanket that I have just finished. I have called it 'Flaming Fuschia' because of it's colour but also the border reminds me of flames! I would like to thank everyone that sent in squares for this particular blanket. I really like this one, but then I say that about them all!
A Slide Show for you! Enjoy!
My 'SIBOLETTES' are very kind helping me assemble bags of squares. 'The Wool Stop' is one of those people. I gave her 25 Squares and she has today sent back 'Sea Breeze'. This blanket is full of blues and greens and it is so...warm. Just right to cuddle up under. Pretty Butterflies and Flowers were also made by 'The Wool Stop' and they will decorate the blanket beautifully. May I thank everyone who contributed squares for this particular blanket. Thanks also to 'The Wool Stop'.
A great variety of squares, thank you!
