Our 'SIBOL' Blog runs at a fast pace, so please go back previous posts and view our beautiful blankets and squares.
Today I have had a wonderful bunch of squares come in from Craftymizz here in the UK. Craftymizz has very kindly Crocheted some Challenge squares that I desperately need. We've had a great Snowman, a really original 'Faces' square, two wonderful Musical Challenge squares, two Irish Rose squares and a really beautiful '200th blanket' square.
My Grandmother is inspiration for our 200th blanket and we have received some wonderful squares for this Challenge and as soon as I have finished the blanket I am doing at present I shall be starting it. I am just waiting for a few more squares to arrive. The radio is a great idea for a square because my Grandmother loved listening to her radio more so than watching her TV. Thank you very much for all these wonderful squares Craftymizz.
Let's take a look at the others now.
Before I go I was wondering if anyone would like to make a 'Freeform square'. This is just a bit of fun we are having over on RAVELRY. Have you ever made a Freeform square? Would you like to take part? We are going to try and make a Freeform square and then 'creativegranny' will make it in to something e.g. cushion cover, bag or wall hanging etc., Then we will be raffling it amongst the 'SIBOLETTES'.
It is quite a scary thought but with the help from 'creativegranny' I'm sure you'll master it. Why not pop a long to RAVELRY and chat to the Ladies over there.
Thank you!
