Busy Saturday for SIBOL! Squares from USA and UK.

Good Morning Everyone!

Rise and Shine it's a beautiful SIBOL Day!!

Oh goodness I'm full of happiness again today! You all never fail to amaze me with your kindness. Today I received some Squares from the United States of America and good old UK!

bienzfive (USA) sent me some gorgeous Squares. OOh, they are so sweet. One in particular take a look, what an usual idea. I do love to see what you all come up with!

Look at the centre of this Square, such a good idea putting a little bow right in the centre of a Flower Square!....>

Isn't that just so lovely?

I also had Squares arrive today from Pippa (MSE) (UK). Pippa has sent me a lovely selection of SIBOL Squares. The photo below is just four of the gorgeous Squares Pippa sent today. They are for the 'Christmas Challenge'. We've started receiving Squares for this Challenge now and it's lovely to see what you all come up with! Take a look at them.

oh these are just beautiful. Love those colour combos with the orange, yellow and lime. The Christmas squares are beautiful too. One of them looks like a lovely snowflake.

I would imagine your life is filled with much joy when receiving such lovely squares from around the world. Even though you then take them and make them into something wonderful to give away. You still get the thrill of receiving surprises. And the added benefit of doing something worthwhile and purposeful. Bravo! And best wishes, Tammy

are making and donating Sunshine Blankets

to Elderly Residents in Care/Nursing Homes.

Would you like to help us?

We no longer accept Squares but we do accept

your Crocheted and Knitted Blankets. We also

accept Knitted and Crocheted Shawls.

Donations of Sunshine Blankets/Shawls/Butterflies can be accepted between these dates.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
