Squares arrive from Spain and the UK.

Good Evening Everyone!

Today I had two lots of Squares arrive.

The first set is from Alhana who lives in Spain. Alhana has sent me 7 Granny Squares and I just love these Squares. I love the colours she has chosen and the 'traditional Granny Square' is still my favourite. Look how it looks different with a variety of colours used. Alhana spoilt me today by sending me two pieces of her gorgeous Crocheting! Just take a look in the Slide Show. Thank you so much Alhana it was very nice of you and I am so....grateful for your 'SIBOL' contribution. I am so pleased you are now a 'SIBOLETTE!'

I also received some Squares today from Kinsey in the UK. She has sent me three lovely Squares for our Christmas Challenge. Aren't these flowers pretty? Take a look. Thank you so much for the Squares and I do hope you enjoyed the Challenge Kinsey!

I'd better get crack'in on some new sqaures soon. Looks like the christmas colors are arriving. I'm so far behind, still working on the fall colors...icks....
Hope you have recovered from your big week.
Finally, check-in before leaving in the morning for VT. All packed, but really nervous about no computer for one whole week.

I'm making 'Sunshine International Blankets of Love' For the Elderly'.
(see 28th Feb post) In Memory of my Grandmother, with the help of my on-line friends.
Would you like to help me?

I'm asking for 6" x 6" (15cms x 15cms) Knitted or Crocheted Squares.
Any Design, Any Colour, Straight Edge please.
Acrylic if possible (or whatever you have in your stash!)
No deadline, no panic,no rush.

All 'Sunshine Blankets' will be donated to Nursing Homes in the UK.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
