I am just the happiest person today receiving these stunning blankets from one of our SIBOLETTES 'Joanna'. Joanna told me some months ago that Aunt Amy had some Crocheted blankets stored away in a cupboard and when she found out that Joanna belonged to a Group that made Blankets for the Elderly she very kindly offered Joanna the blankets. How terribly kind of her! The blankets were too large for 'SIBOL' so Joanna thought that she would unpick them and make them into smaller blankets. She told me that she would be able to make six blankets for 'SIBOL'.
Some weeks ago I had three arrive and today I received the final 3. These blankets were made by Aunt Amy years ago and if you take a look at the squares you will see how much work she put in to them. She must have used every colour under the sun and the squares are absolutely beautiful. They do have a vintage feel to them and I'm absolutely over the moon.
I can't wait to show you.
Aren't they the prettiest Grannies?
Joanna has been working so hard on our 'Think Pink' blanket and also the 6 Granny square blankets in total and I am most grateful for all the hard work she has put into these blankets. The homes are just going to love these blankets. At the bottom of this post you will be able to view the Slide Show I have made. So please enjoy!
I would also like to thank ATheeC for the square received at lunchtime for our 200th SIBOL. This blanket is taking inspiration from my Grandmother. She just loved red roses and the colours Green and Navy. This is another beautiful square and so appropriate.Thank you ATheeC!
I have now got blankets ready to take to Rowheath House I am just waiting to hear when Anne and myself can go in to see Jackie.
It's been a busy day today at 'Two Times' I do hope you have enjoyed our SIBOL Blog today! I'll leave you with the Slide Show now. Thanks Joanna and ATheeC!
x Sue
