Christmas Eve Squares from America!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I'm very pleased to be popping in on Christmas Eve to show you these pretty Squares that have just flown in from America. Terri thank you so much. Your Squares are just lovely. I love the colours so much on these. The colour combinations Terri are just wonderful!

I'm really pleased these Squares have arrived today just in time for Christmas you might say because Terri has been rather worried about their arrival. Well I'm very pleased to say they are here with me now at 'Two Times'. I'm sure they will look beautiful too when they are in our SIBOL Blankets.

I'm adding a comment to say. I never realised that the pattern on the link is 8". We need 6"
Brenda 'itty bitty' is going to play around with it and see if she can get it 6". So hold on Ladies please!
Lets see if we can do some work on it first.

Well Sue you can look back on 2010 with pride. What an achievement you have engineered or should I say piloted ! You should be proud and I'm sure you must feel that way when you deliver these lovely blankets.
I have viewed all of the blankets with interest as well as awe. What clever people there are out there. One of my (many)New Years resolutions is to do more crochet and learn to follow patterns so I can make some of these lovely squares. Let's see if I can keep this one !!!

We no longer accept Squares but we do accept

your Crocheted and Knitted Blankets. We also

Donations of Sunshine Blankets/Shawls/Butterflies can be accepted between these dates.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
