202. 'Grannies Treasure'.

Good afternoon everyone!

A very wet Sunday here in the UK.

I have number 202 to show you today 'Grannies Treasure'.
Thanks to everyone that has contributed squares for this blanket. Some I have had quite a while but we are doing our best to make the blankets up now and that's why I have put a 'Square Stop' on at the moment.

I do hope you like this blanket, it's full of our good 'ol Grannies which I absolutely love!

Please keep your Butterflies and embellishments coming in although I have a 'Square Stop' on they are always very useful to our blankets.

Our blankets are always very well received by the homes. If you would like to make your own blanket although I have a 'Square Stop' on at the moment, then please do. All details are over on SIBOL CHALLENGES.|

Look very nice Sue - all the different colors of green in the squares are pretty and go well together. :)

to Elderly Residents in Care/Nursing Homes.

We no longer accept Squares but we do accept

your Crocheted and Knitted Blankets. We also

accept Knitted and Crocheted Shawls.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
