It was so nice to receive Challenge Squares in the post today.
Great Heart Squares arrived from Corien in the Netherlands.
A Heart within a Granny, so perfect! Thank you very much Corien. I really need these Heart squares for our Challenge blanket. It was very nice of you to send them.
We also have had some great squares arrive from Beang over on RAVELRY.
Beang has very kindly taken part in our 200th blanket. This blanket is really very interesting and so personal to me and my family. As you know our SIBOL project was started in Memory of my Grandmother and what nicer way to celebrate our 200th SIBOL by making a blanket with my Grandmother in mind.
Beang has read the text I put on RAVELRY, and today in the post I have received a beautiful square with a plate of food on. Now you are wondering 'a plate of food?'. This is very important because every day without fail my Grandmother would cook herself a British Traditional meal. If I was ever visiting before lunch, I would say 'Are you going to be okay with your pans Nan?' 'Yes our Sue I'll be alright'. I was always amazed at over 100 years of age she was still doing this for herself.
Let's have a look at Beangs' square.
Brilliant isn't it?
The next square is for our Snowman Challenge.
So cute.....
A pretty Irish Rose square
which has worked out so well!
A Heart Square too for our Heart Challenge.
Thank you so much Beang for these squares too. I am very pleased you have taken part
in our Challenges.
Updated 6.32pm.
This afternoon I finished the fourth Jan Eaton blanket. Thanks to everyone that contributed squares for this special Challenge. All the blocks have come out of Jan Eaton '200 Crochet Blocks for blankets, throws and afghans'. This is a great book if you want to try out something new.
I have loved all of the squares and I hope you like the blanket.
Have a lovely weekend everyone, thanks for visiting.
