Good morning everyone!
I am very happy to be telling you that we raised £250.00 for our 'Flying The Flag' blanket and as a Group we have sent to Alzheimer's £1,250.00. This is a staggering amount and I would like to thank the Ladies involved.
Today I received squares from pippa-anne here in the UK for the special 200th blanket. As my 'SIBOL' project was started in Memory of my Grandmother one of the SIBOLETTES suggested we should do
a special blanket in her Memory.
One of my Grandmother's favourite flowers was Daffodils and pippa-anne has made an amazing square. If you look closely you can see a Ladybird. pippa-anne didn't know but Ladybirds are very special in my family because when my Father passed away in 1994 we kept seeing Ladybirds everywhere. It was rather like a sign from him saying 'Don't worry about me I'm okay!' Well when I received the square this morning it made me quite emotional, pippa-anne had no idea about the connection. A beautiful square thank you so much.
I would also like to thank 'Sleeperwalking' over on RAV for the wonderful Jan Eaton square. This is the last square needed now for our Jan Eaton Challenge.
This square is No. 99 and it's called 'Baby Bow'.
We've had some lovely squares in for the Jan Eaton Challenge and as soon as I have finished a green blanket I am doing I will get that one finished.
On the 20th July at 10.00 am. I am delivering 10 of our blankets to the Elderly where pippa-anne's Mother lives. I have been invited to a Coffee Morning and I shall be taking some of our Butterflies to them and of course our beautiful blankets. I'm so pleased pippa-anne is coming too!
Thank you Jackie for inviting us.
I think that's about all for now. Thanks for the squares Ladies!
Have a good weekend.
