Squares from Canada and the UK! Thank you!

Hi Everyone!
Thank you for visiting SIBOL today!

I'm very happy to be showing you two lots of Squares today!
Firstly Bonnie in Canada, your Squares arrived this morning. Thank you so much for taking part in the SIBOL Project. Your Squares are gorgeous I just love the bright colours you've used. I'm sure
everyone will agree the colour combinations on all of them are really nice. I just couldn't wait to get
outside and take my usual photographs.

I wonder if you could contact me I can't put my hands on your email address at the moment and I desperately want to thank you personally. sueatpigsty@talktalk.net

I would also like to thank Pippa.S from the (MSE Forum) here in the UK. Pippa.S. sent me some really pretty Squares today and I am most grateful. I have actually got one of her Flower Squares in my 'Flower Power' Blanket. (2nd Row down, 2nd Square in from the left side). Photograph of the latest Blanket will be under Pippas' Slide Show. Sit back and enjoy Pippa! Thank you very much for helping me!

I know I say it all the time, but I am so...grateful for all the Squares that come in to me. With out your help I couldn't get the quantity of Blankets made. I'm so excited still after making 15 Blankets. I get such a buzz receiving your Squares knowing that everyone has gone to such a lot of trouble for me. I know everyone that visits SIBOL loves looking at the new Squares that's why I like to showcase them for you. We learn by looking at each others, getting inspiration. It's such great fun! Thanks to everyone who has contributed Squares or even for visiting 'SIBOL' Thank you!

Have a good weekend everyone, I'm off for a meal it's our Wedding Anniversary today. 27 years!

Hi, These blankets are brilliant!! I am new to crochet, my mother-in-law taught me about 6 months ago. I recognise some of these square patterns from a book she recently got me. Well done for all your efforts putting these together they look amazing! I am sure everyone who receives a finished blanket will treasure it!
My mother-in-law Linda also does a similar thing so i will let her know about your fantastic blog!

to Elderly Residents in Care/Nursing Homes.

Would you like to help us?

We no longer accept Squares but we do accept

your Crocheted and Knitted Blankets. We also

accept Knitted and Crocheted Shawls.

Donations of Sunshine Blankets/Shawls/Butterflies can be accepted between these dates.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
