Brenda's Squares arrived this morning from the South of England. Aren't they full of 'Sunshine?!'.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you Brenda for the wonderful Squares received this morning. I'm sure everyone will agree on 'SIBOL' that these Squares are just full of Sunshine and will be great for our 'Sun' themed Blanket. The deadline for this is 21st April and all 'Sun' themed Squares must arrive before that date. We shall definitely have to put our sunglasses on for these Squares and indeed for all the others! I think we will have to supply a pair to the Nursing home too! Don't you think?

The next Blanket is going to be 'blue and white' Kim's suggestion. So if you want to start planning please do! The one after that will be a 'Flower' Blanket because Luna has started us off on a Flower craze now! Elizabeth Cat over on Flickr suggested this one. You are quite welcome to start sending them and just putting a note with them which Blanket they will be for. (As if I wouldn't be able to tell!). We haven't decided on deadlines for these two Blankets as yet. But it's something for you to be thinking about.

I have updated the Slide show for Brenda. I always try and do this because I know a lot of visitors check in every day to see if there is anything new. So I do hope you will enjoy looking across at Brenda's Squares.Thanks Brenda for your wonderful help.

Thank you Luna for putting up the video to the Flower. I hope everyone tries it. If you have any queries about anything Luna's link is across the screen. I know she won't mind you asking her anything. She loves her Crocheting and has been doing it from a very young age!

Can I just say if you are visiting 'SIBOL' as this is 'team blogging' there are sometimes a few posts for each day. Just because a post is not showing it doesn't mean it's not there. So if you click on older posts, you will probably see others. I hope 'Followers' aren't missing other interesting items. Thanks. I know a lot of time goes into 'posting' and I just want everyone to see other 'team bloggers' posts.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
